Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. Each week you have to make your own Top Ten list. This week the "question" is:
Top Ten Worlds I'd Never Want To Live In
Top Ten Eight Worlds I'd Never Want To Live In

1. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
- Do I have to explain this one? I mean, living in a world where kids are sent off to kill other kids for entertainment of the government and the rich people? No thank you.

2. The Chemical Garden by Lauren DeStefano
- As a girl myself, I would not want to live in a world where girls are captured and then sold to guys or worse, killed in the back of a van.

3. Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
- I would not want to live in a place where everybody is in a virtual world, it's bad enough when everybody is on the phone all the time. Also, I would not be able to just live out in the wild, I like my super soft bed, and I like my TV.

4. Across the Universe by Beth Revis
- When I was a kid I used to think space was super fascinating, but the thought of somehow ending out there and then not being able to breathe scares me. Watching Gravity did not help.

5. The Shamer Chronicles by Lene Kaaberbøl

- This is a Danish series. SUPER good (go read it!), but I would NOT want to live in that world.

6. The Host by Stephenie Meyer
- Although I would very much like to marry Jared (aka. Max Irons, that guy though!) I would not want some sort of alien species to take over our world - and bodies.

7. Penryn & the End of Days by Susan Ee

- Angel apocalypse just does not sounds appealing to me, sorry

8. Divergent by Veronica Roth

- I like being able to be smart and fearless and curious at the same time, and then change the next day to be safeless and honest. Some times I even mix it up and am safeless and fearless at the same time. How incredibly cool is that? To have to only be one thing is just not possible.

I came up with 8 this time, which makes me super proud.
What is your Top Ten?

  1. OOoh nice picks! I've only read the ones that we share on this list! But yeah, none of these worlds sound ideal to live in!

    Thanks for visiting my blog!

  2. Oh, I agree with all your picks! Being in any type of dystopian world is NOT for me and it's scary as hell!

    Thanks for stopping by :)

  3. Lots of good books on your list. Some made mine as well and a few others almost did

    My TTT is here.

  4. I'd be factionless, probably, if I were to live in future Chicago in Divergent. I wouldn't even fit in any factions. That sucks.
